She loved her parents, her siblings, her dogs. They had a good life. If it wasn't for her family's friends... which she has no say on. As the middle child she was lucky not get kidnapped as often as her brother or their baby sister-thought to be more valuable and sure to get quicker either big muscles or a big ransom to bring them back.
They had no choice in being pawns on the adults' wars. Her brother was heir apparent to dad's business, she would probably have her marriage arranged with a friend's son, as for their cute adorable sister, no one would tell just yet. Maybe just a spare?
They profited from theirs parents' way of life, blissfully unaware of just where the money and privileges came from, what sacrifices were made for their happiness... and why themselves would get sacrificed one day, victims of the mafia's schemes before they could be actually guilty of being part of it.
That time dad's friends took them away, she didn't get right away that they were being kidnapped once again. Or why they took the dogs along. It looked like a game at first!
