Rookies like Marcus would think that Grayson and Vander are on opposite sides of the law—fools with narrowed views! Things are not black and white. Vander's a peacekeeper, his own kind of both enforcer and councilman—they’re on the same side of the law, just on different sides of the Bridge. His revolutionary days are well over.
And she knows that some—many actually—of her own men let the power bestowed upon them go to their heads and abuse it. No better than thugs. Consider themselves above the law.
Try and weed them out is a losing battle…

I love that you're giving POV stories also to the smaller characters (and I know this is your halfamoon objective, which I applaud!), which gives me an opportunity to look at them closer than I did in canon, thank you for that! :)
