Ex Lieutenant Mendoza is persistent, he has to admit. And perceptive. It makes her all the more dangerous. He needs to know what exactly she managed to unearth and deduce.
Turns out... everything.
He all but stalks her and when he breaks into her flat, he discovers she did the same for him. Every aspect of his life, of his past, is plastered on that board of hers. She even dug up his old connection to Charles, and what Dave did, and now she blames everything the Wrens doe on him. Hey just because he accidentally set them free on the first place doesn’t make him responsible for everything... does it?
But she got it frighteningly right and it needs to stop now, he needs her to disappear fast, before she can take her suspicions to someone who can and will act on them. And he can't just destroy the evidence: if she told anyone whether they believe it yet or not then it’ll be all more proof.
No. He needs to discredit her whole investigation.
Well. He also needs a distraction to catch Ralzae and get his heart for Chorum—for Siri. As they say, killing two birds with one stone...
