Tonight is the night he's going. But what would be the point to pack for it?
Dave used to keep a first-aid kit and a basic tollbox in his car's trunk because you ever knew when it'd come in handy. Howard added to that his attaché-case with all the medical tools in it, even if there are no more Wrens to cut up. It's a bit touchy should security check on it at the entrance of a public space...
He always holds a pistol on his person, but once he's used his last cartridge what should he do? This is where a sharpened knife will be much more useful.
Because of his destitute youth he never grew attached to anything or anyone. His only really prized possession is his book, but he knows it by heart by now and where he's going, to the Valley itself, he won't need it anymore.
It'd be wise to pack at least a change of cloth, but whatever. He's got his good old coat, identical to the previous one he had to replace after a sleeve got torn out; and witht he coat, what he keeps in its pockets. Even when it's too hot outside to wear something so heavy...
He's only taking a notebook and a pencil. You never know when you need to jut down notes or sketch something.
He could use a pocket screwdriver, in case he needs to do maintenance on his mechanical arm. And... that's all. He's a ressourceful guy, he'll adapt easily to whatever he'll find there.
(Anyway, what he needed to face a gigantic black iguana couldn't fit in the small trunk of a stolen motorcycle. He was very lucky to find what he did need there, even more so to adapt to... her.)
