Did you ever feel that other worlds exist out there? And gaps links these worlds, allowing objects and legends to filter through. A book from elsewhere, from another side of reality altogether, set things into motion. It talks of different sciences that one lacking better understanding would call magic—as long as it works!—it talks of the Wrens’ tremendous powers of the, of the Knights of the Royal Guard’s even more wondrous, it talks of legendary artefacts.
There’s only one way to interpret the hints—at least in his own mind—it means that something in the Valley of Kings can heal every injury, every illness, even aging, and vanquish death!
Then he’ll open the way between their worlds, towards the Valley, to enter eternity. And if he needs to sacrifice innocents to do so, so he can live forever... so be it; without remorse, he will do it.
