Rhys Rhysson nonetheless arranges for a silver ring to be forged on the behalf of one Lady Sibyl, out of gratitude, and, also, yes, to send a message to the whole community:
We recognize that this metal harms you and we’re not doing it out of malice, we’ll take precautions to not harm you, but we won’t be living in your shadow, under your rule; we’ll make our own living according to our own rules.
Rhys trusts nobody takes it as a declaration of war.
