The Wintersmith forged snowflakes into Tiffany’s tiny image. It’s flattering in a way and terribly creepy. They should melt when spring comes back, provided she hasn't fudged the whole seasons and their cycles; but if somehow his magic is potent enough that the ice does not melt as it’s supposed to...
Tiffany shudders, from horror even more than from cold.

No ifs.
She has to fix up her fudging and bring back spring.
Lots of maidens her age have to handle turning down a suitor without him acting all entitled to them anyway. And she hoped she’d be spared...
