Blinded by their own self-importance and arrogance, and maybe the too-narrow eye-holes in their ivory masks, Kahllos can't see revolt brewing--even if it's only one rebel: she's strong enough to kill her abuser, twisted enough to steal his mask, his clothing, his fighting technics and even his name.
Cristo Canyon is one of the very best in the Kahllo Clan; soon, he's seemingly their best hope of protection against this unseen menace picking them out one after the other. The first one to die was overlooked and deemed too weak to have been a real warrior despite all the selection they went through. The second one, an accident; sometimes even the best warriors find stronger than them. Maybe foul play was involved? When too many deaths add up it's already too late.
They can't imagine that there's a traitor among them, that under this mask eyes shine with hate.
They can't see, they refuse to.
When she beats them, one after the other, and gets ready for the kill, they beg, every one of them. They call out to their brother and they try to barter for their lives. How can they appeal...
They'll never consider she's a woman. They deserve to die without even knowing. She could rip off their masks and pluck out their useless eyes and desecrate their corpses, but what good would it do? Such a vengeance won't help her and nobody would understand...
