That stupid reckless would-be hero put himself in a sticky situation. He doesn't help at all, he need to be helped. Gah. She could leave him, that would that teach him a lesson!
No. Wait.
If he's dead he can't learn anymore, and she's the one who'd have to collect him.
Susan sighs. She has no fair choice but to go save him and now he now can learn his lesson. Hopefully.
Will there be gratitude? She doesn’t care about that; all she needs, is that he learns better. Better than to play hero. Learns to think before he acts.

I love Susan. She's just so done with this nonsense. I also just love characters who even while they resolve to not get involved in this get involved anyway, which Discworld has a fun assortment of.
