There’s a hole in her life.
There’s a hole in door actually, a hole in her wall, and in her ceiling. Parts of them just fell off—try and explain that to her insurance!
That guy destroyed everything. Her property and so much more. He looked at her, all disappointed, and just… left. It’s always hurtful to have people look at you this way even though it saved her life here and then. Well. It prevented her immediate death, at least, but ruined everything anyway. Her flat, her relationship with her neighbours, her reputation, her mental health.
A madman of a serial killer with an unknown weapon of mass destruction just waltzed by, demolished her flat and left without even killing her, can you imagine the gossip that’s spreading now? How do rebuild from that?
(Mentally, she’ll be forever kneeling on her carpet, dazed. What. Happened here. There’s a hole…)
