The art of the dress is also a science.
It asks for a sense of form and colour, of maths and geometry, and physics of the materials.
One matchs not only the colours, the accents, but also the textures, the weight.
How a skirt falls, how a scarf flows, even how fabric rustles—or not.
The result needs to fit and please the customer—it could seem the perfect fit to her couturière's eye but if the pony wearing the dress is not happy with it then it's not good.
(...Sometimes you have to bite your tongue and perform heresies.)
