Gimli likes shiny things, diamonds in the dark, stars sparkling above, bright eyes and smile. He’s got the axe of a warrior and the heart of a poet, though very few know.
To humans and hobbits Legolas seems the epitome of refinement on the sole virtue of being an elf. Amongs this peers however, prince or not, he’s seen as a rube.
He’s the lucky one in this relationship and he knows it.
He will sing silly songs to his Dwarf friend, again and again, and braid his beard matching his own hairdo and thanking the Stars for their gift.
